The final episode brings Hui-ju and I-an’s story to its conclusion, returning to the question at the heart of their relationship: can two people build a future on their own terms when society expects them to follow established rules? Hui-ju’s journey has always involved more than wealth or a prestigious marriage. She wants her achievements and choices to matter in a society that continues to judge her by her background. I-an’s journey is different but connected: he must decide how to live with the responsibilities of royal status without allowing them to erase his own wishes.
The finale gives the series an opportunity to bring its romantic and social themes together.
