The Apartment Job turns an ordinary apartment complex into the center of a clever crime and corruption story. What begins as Park Hae-kang’s desperate attempt to obtain hidden money gradually becomes a much bigger fight involving residents, missing funds, construction interests, and corruption. The combination of comedy, crime, mystery and family drama gives the season a different feel from a typical Korean crime series.
Park Hae-kang desperately tries different ways to raise a huge amount of money, but none of his plans work. A tip about an apartment complex eventually gives him a completely new opportunity and puts him on the path toward the hidden reserve fund.
After discovering the apartment’s enormous reserve fund, Hae-kang decides to steal the money. To gain access to it, however, he must first enter the residents’ association by winning the election.
