Episode Review

Episode 4 moves Han-young’s plan into a much bigger arena. After dealing with the immediate problems in his old jurisdiction, he begins looking for a way to move toward Seoul, where the people with real power are operating.

A stolen ledger becomes extremely important because it could provide information capable of connecting powerful people to corruption. Han-young understands that evidence like this could be more valuable than a courtroom argument. If he can get his hands on it, he can potentially expose people who previously seemed untouchable.

Kim Jin-ah becomes a major ally during this stage. When she moves against Jang Tae-sik, Han-young realizes that she is one of the few people willing to confront powerful figures directly. He chooses to work with her, although their relationship is built more on mutual usefulness than complete trust.

Seok Jeong-ho also becomes involved in Han-young’s search for the ledger. Their friendship remains one of the more grounded parts of the series because Jeong-ho does not care about Han-young’s revenge in the same way. He simply wants to help his friend survive.

The episode also introduces a dangerous rivalry surrounding the search for the ledger. Han-young is becoming more aggressive with every step, but the people around him are starting to notice that there is something unusual about his behavior.

Episode 4 is where the story starts feeling much larger. Han-young is no longer simply correcting individual cases. He is building a long-term strategy to enter the world of powerful judges, prosecutors, businessmen and politicians.
